central vacuum cleaner

My central vacuum starts but stops after a short time – what could be the cause?

When the central vacuum starts and stops after a short time, this is often caused by partial or complete blockages in the ducting or hose. This restricts airflow, which can cause the motor to overheat. To protect the motor, the overheating protection will activate and shut down the vacuum. Check the hose and ducting for blockages and ensure free airflow before using the vacuum again.

My central vacuum has poor suction – what could be the cause?

Poor suction performance in a central vacuum system is often caused by partial or complete blockages in the ducting or hose. This may be due to accumulated dust, debris, or foreign objects in the system. It is recommended to check both the hose and the pipes for blockages and ensure free airflow throughout the entire system.

central exhaust ventilation

My central exhaust unit (ULV, USV, USVX) does not run at all speed levels – what could be the cause?

If a central exhaust unit of type ULV, USV or USVX does not operate at all speed levels, the most likely cause is a defective run capacitor. A local, authorised electrician can assist with replacing this component. The run capacitor has article number 101318 and is installed in the controller box near the motor.

My central extract unit (ULV, USV, USVX) is making noise – what can I do?

If your ULV, USV or USVX central extract unit is making noise, this is usually caused by a dirty fan. The fan should be cleaned at least once a year. How to clean the fan: Unplug the unit from the special socket to make sure the fan is completely disconnected from power Carefully pull the connection box loose from the fan side. It is attached with Velcro Unscrew the four mounting screws on the round motor plate Pull the entire fan straight out of the fan housing while holding the square connection box Use a non-water-based degreasing cleaner together with a small scraper or brush to remove dirt from the fan wheel Be careful not to damage or squeeze the fan wheel Avoid getting liquid inside the motor Let the fan dry completely before reinstalling it in reverse order

indoor climate heat pump

When is it suitable to install the Flexit EcoNordic indoor climate unit?

Flexit EcoNordic is well suited for homes with a floor area of approximately 120 to 240 m² that have water-based heating systems. The solution is designed to efficiently cover both ventilation needs and heat production. Suitability may vary depending on the building layout, energy demand and geographical location. To determine whether EcoNordic is the right solution for your project, we recommend submitting an enquiry for a specific assessment and quotation.

planning

Does Flexit design ventilation systems for commercial buildings such as kindergartens, offices, workplaces, and warehouses?

Flexit primarily designs ventilation solutions for residential buildings. This includes detached houses, terraced houses, and apartment buildings. Flexit does not normally offer ventilation design services for commercial buildings such as kindergartens, offices, workplaces, locker rooms, or warehouse buildings. For these types of projects, ventilation design must be carried out by a consulting engineer or another specialist in ventilation for commercial and non-residential buildings.

central vacuum cleaner

The central vacuum cleaner does not stop – what could be wrong?

If the central vacuum cleaner starts by itself and does not stop, the most common cause is a fault in the low-voltage control system. Start by disconnecting the low-voltage cable at the back of the unit. If the unit stops, there is likely a short circuit in one of the wall inlets or in the low-voltage wiring. If the unit does not stop when the low-voltage cable is disconnected, the issue may be related to the quick connector on the unit or the control board inside the vacuum cleaner. This troubleshooting applies only to CV and older models. CVR models require different diagnostic procedures.

control system

The SP30 control panel is flashing red and has no control – what does it mean?

When the SP30 control panel flashes red and does not allow control, it means that the fire thermostat in the unit has been triggered. For safety reasons, control via the panel is disabled when this occurs. To resolve the issue, the fire thermostat must be reset inside the unit. It is also important to check the airflow, as insufficient air circulation is a common reason for the fire thermostat being activated. Check whether the filters are clogged and replace them if necessary, and make sure that the outdoor air intake grille is not blocked by leaves, snow or debris. If you are unable to resolve the issue yourself, we recommend contacting the service company that installed the system or the retailer where the product was purchased.

air handling unit

Do I need to install a separate humidity sensor in the bathroom?

In most cases, it is not necessary to install a separate humidity sensor in the bathroom. The latest generation of Flexit ventilation units has a built-in humidity sensor that is activated via the Flexit GO app. This function detects relative changes in humidity and automatically increases the extract airflow within a few seconds. This ensures effective moisture removal without the need for a separate room-mounted humidity sensor. Flexit does, however, offer humidity sensors for room installation if required in special solutions.

service and support

Does Flexit provide service for ventilation systems?

No, Flexit does not perform service directly. We recommend that you contact a local service company or an authorised distributor who can carry out service and maintenance on your ventilation system.
